The City of Hidalgo and its Police Department proudly announce the inauguration of the Hidalgo Police Department Law Enforcement Academy (HPDLEA). This event marks the establishment of the Police Department’s Law Enforcement Academy, enhancing resources and competitiveness for aspiring law enforcement professionals in our region.

Must Pass a Background Check, Medical, Drug Screen, & Psychological Evaluation
$2,300 Tuition
Full-Time Day Academy: M-F, 8 am - 5 pm Part-Time Night Academy: M-F, 6 pm -10 pm
The Police Academy includes
all textbooks, and a tablet for class instruction.
